Adrian Ciurtin

Founder and managing partner of Ciurtin & Associates

Adrian Ciurtin started his legal career in 1999 in one of the most prominent law firms in Romania and is a member of the Bucharest Bar Association since 2001.

He graduated from Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne University and from the University of Bucharest and has an LL.M of European Law with Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne University, Business Law and International Cooperation Institute.

After participating to the foundation and fast development of a strong Austrian financial institution in Romania, which became within one-year leader of the Romanian market, he founded, managed and strongly consolidated over years the business and the team of Ciurtin & Associates, giving them a qualified international exposure. Throughout his carrier he constantly acted as a banking and real estate lawyer, by creating sophisticated equity and debt finance structures and products and contributing to important real estate developments & operations.

His constant orientation towards technology and mathematics qualified him to successfully deal with very technical legal support in fields like Energy, IT&C and Aviation.

Mr. Ciurtin is also an official receiver for insolvency procedures and a member of the Romanian National Insolvency Practitioners Association.

Perfectly matching business skills with M&A extended practice, he proved great focus and abilities in generating, securing, implementing, financing, operating and exiting excellent business cases for his clients and partners.
His hobbies are graphics and engraving, chamber and choral music, global diplomacy in modern times, motorsports, pilotage and aviation – history & technology, as well as ballroom dancing. He speaks Romanian, German, English, French and Italian. He is married, has two daughters and one son and lives in Bucharest.
